Chalk Art Introduction

Chalk art is a unique ministry that is rapidly reviving. "Chalk talks" as they used to be called, are a great way to minister with art. A chalk talk is when a picture is drawn in chalk while a message is being shared. The artist sometimes has a hidden black light picture drawn ahead of time that he reveals at the end of the presentation.

Through chalk art, an audience ages 3 to 103 can sit silently watching the artwork being done. The picture and message is often accompianied with music for a nice touch. The illustrated message leaves a lasting impression on the viewers. Not only do people remember the picture, they remember the message!

The Chalk Art Course offered by Eternity Ministries will equip you to expand your ministry with art, if not create one by itself. Chalk art is a great way to communicate Biblical truth to people of all ages!

Can anyone do chalk art?
Chalk art is a skill that almost anyone can master. If you can sign your name legibly, you can be an effective chalk artist. Art ability is benificial, but not nessesary.

The course in chalk art has two main phases. The Phase One course offers basic chalk drawing techniques in a home or live setting. In Phase Two students learn over a dozen pictures with blacklight and message as well as the ability to create their own. Live classes offer personalized step-by-step instrucion given to each student.

Who may enroll?
• Ages 14 and up.
• Anyone with determination and a deep desire to serve the Lord with their art.

Where do I take the course?
Phase One can be done at home or by dvd. An accelerated version is available live. Phase 1 Live and Phase 2 Live are currently being held year-round at the Alpha Arts Training Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with other locations pending. You can find the dates under each Phase.
